St. Croix No. 1610 spinning reel featuring black matte finish, unusual tiered spool that can be seen through a clear back on the spool housing, spool mounted push button casting mechanism, bottom mounted anti-reverse button, and half handle with black grasp. This reel was manufactured by Tamco Ltd. in Canada and is identical to the Tamco La Salle spinning reel. Reel is marked Made in Canada - Pat. Pend. on the handle side and St. Croix - Park Falls Wisc. on the b...ack side. Reel is in excellent condition as seen in the pics, I doubt it was ever used. Mechanically the action is smooth with a very light catch at one spot on retrieve that you can reel right through. All other aspects are fully functional. Comes with the correct and original box that is in shopworn condition, as well as the original instructions booklet. A rare spinning reel and box.
