This early 19th century Georgian Cut Glass Jar stands 6" inches tall with its' cover, and 4 3/4" inches without it. The diameter of the base measures 3 1/4" inches. The diameter across the top from rim to rim is 4 1/8" inches.
As you can see in the many photos provided, this jar is designed with beautiful finely cut diamonds, panel step cutting as well as a 9 point fan cut border across the top rim. It has a radial cut, polished base.
The lid is original to the piece and also features finely cut diamonds, panel cutting and radial cutting on the very top portion of the lid that mirrors the base. The lid is free of any damage.
This piece is in beautiful condition with only a tiny flake to the edge of one of the fan motifs. Please see the very close up photo.
