Vintage Nov 1963 Schwinn Cantilever Frame Slimline Tank Mark V Jaguar Corvette Fleet Good used condition, no dents, dings, cracks or problems. Original paint has amazing patina, showing a lifetime of riding and fun. There are no decals or screening on this frame. When I compare it to my other original Coppertone bikes the paint does match perfectly though. Always stored indoors. No rust. Headbadge is original and in good condition. Crankset is s...uper clean, low miles, kickstand, headset cups are included and all very nice and ready for you to ride. These parts are often removed by other sellers and the will cost you a lot more $ if you have to find them them yourself later. Perfect for restoration, retro rod, or Klunker project. Serial dated November 5, 1963, maybe your birthday, your parents, or some other deep meaning for you! This frame is perfect for your Rat Rod, Resto-Mod, Klunker, Beach Cruiser, Strandie Cruiser, Car Show Accessory, the possibilities are endless!
This is a special frame with mounting tabs under the top tube which are meant for attaching the famous Slimline Tank. These were only made for a very few years and are now one of the most collectible Schwinns anywhere! I am selling a Slimline Tank in one of my other auctions now, so make sure you check them all out!
These Schwinn cantilever frames do have great geometry and ride quality. Sadly it is time for me to part with this fine machine and send it to a new home where hopefully it will be ridden and loved as much as I have. I will be listing the Bendix coaster brake wheels and other parts soon. I have a large lot of Schwinn Phantom parts I will be listing too. Add me to your list of favorite sellers!
Please note I may pull out the crankset and pack it inside the box with the frame in order to keep shipping costs low. The crank bearings are fully cleaned and are in excellent, low mile condition but will need grease and assembly before riding. Like the 1957 Chevy, these old Schwinns were truly built to last. Many people note that these pre 1970 frames have a better build quality and nicer electo-welding, the same process Schwinn used for 40 years.
