This is a Large Antique / Vintage Tole Painted Walnut Pencil Box.The box is beautifully painted and it appears to be very old, although we do not know specifically when it was made.After reviewing the top photo and the description, scroll down past the description to view the additional photos in the lower photo group.It looks to me like it might be a Scandanavian piece, but I do not know for sure, and it is not marked.The box is a nice large 11 1/2" long, 2 1/2" wide and 2..." tall.Condition
As found there are three or four spots of missing paint. The largest is on the rounded end of the pull-out section as seen, marked with a blue arrow. Another spot on one side is marked with a blue arrow in a different photo, and there are a couple of more spots of missing paint about that size or smaller. The box is otherwise in excellent condition.
