The radio has been "recapped", all the electrolytic capacitors have been replaced. All the channels work, it has loud modulation on AM and SSB. I measured the AM output at 4 watts and the SSB peaks to about ...15 watts. No channels have been added or expanded. It is pretty much original. The receiver is nice and sensitive. I had a little conversation with a skip contact in Connecticut on 38 Lower Sideband before packing it in the box, don't tell the Commission.
So, it is not perfect. It has a couple of quirks. All old radios do. The S-meter seems to work but it's very sticky and freezes in motion to about half scale. Every once in a while you get an annoying pop out of the speaker, even if the antenna is disconnected. Other than that, the radio works and is really neat to just listen to the traffic when the sporadic E is favorable.
Considering its age and condition, I am offering it described as "for parts or restoration", no returns, being sold as-is . It probably needs a little tweak but you could easily just use it as it is.
I will pack, ship, double-box, using Fedex Ground shipping US-48 only for a fixed $48.00. You may receive the mike and radio in two separate boxes, depending on how the packing works.
Thanks for looking, Pat WB9GKZ (Yeah I'm a ham but I started on CB in 1967).
