Vintage German Style Bavarian Alpine Dollhouse Pleasenote this auction is JUST for the dollhouse- the contents shown in the last photos are also up for auction in other listings!Dollhouse Measurements: as seen (ruler not included); 12" scaleMaterials: Wood, (Wall) Paper, Metal Hinges, older flowers, etcMaker's Marks: none; might be Dora Kuhn or similar manufacturer (?)Condition: Preowned, wear to wallpapers and edges as seen; roof may be repainted (or replaced? unknown); one... blue trim on side is a replacement (hard to see in photo) ; wear to some trims as seenScale: 1” to 1'scale Age: c1960s-70s eraWhat a lovely cottage! Great for 12" scale, with lots of rooms and an attic, as well as balconies and flowerboxes full of flowers (flowers are included).As you can see, the consigner has decorated it with some wonderful furnishings- it's currently a German Kristkindlmarkt Christmas Bakery, with the shop on the first floor and the family's kitchen, spacious attic bedroom and living room on the upper floors, but please note the furnishings are NOT included in this auction. We just thought you'd like to see the house as the consigner originally displayed it- a fine Christmas home! Thischeerythree-story, four-roomhouse with its side balconies, shutters, painted fretwork and arched front door has plastic paned windows (some age warping to plastic, and the upper floors have 'false' windows) and a decidedly Alpine style. We do think the wallpapers, though vintage, are probably not original to the house, though they suit it well. We haven't found a maker's mark, but it's quite well made and may be by Dora Kuhn- we'll leave you to be the final judge! There is wear as seen and as to beexpected, with quite a bit of wear to papers as seen. When buying somethingpreowned, it's easy for a less than honest buyer to pick a flaw outof the air and attempt to secure a partial refund over imagined orexaggerated 'imperfections'.
