Made from a bright white, translucent porcelain. Decorated with heavy gold gilt trim. The tray/platter/stand is paneled with openwork reticulated handles and Acanthus-type Leaf molded in low relief. Circa 1850s. This pattern is a well known Old Paris design, especially the tea cups and saucers, ...which are much more commonly found. This is either a service tray for a breakfast set, deserts, a pot de cream set etc., or possibly a stand for a larger hollow ware piece. The porcelain is beautiful and bright white with a good glaze.Size: 12.75” long x 9.5” wide and ~1” tall at rim Condition Report: Used. Fine condition for its age, free of chips and cracks. The gold gilt is heavy with Only light rubbing losses. Typical of much Old Paris table ware, The foot bottom is left dry (unglazed). No damages or excessive use-wear. It is in great shape. As always due to age may have slight imperfections such as minor scuffs, scratches, trim wear, and/or slight manufacturing defects. Please view all photos as they are part of this condition report.
