DESCRIPTION:This listing is for a lovely antique bisque head doll for George Borgfeldt, distributor, with the bisque head made by German maker, 1910+. Reference tells me some heads were made by Kong and Wernickle, Averill, Armand Marseille and a few others. Incised on the back of her bisque head is a symbol or something that is too faint to read, down below is "G.B. Germany". Doll is a bisque socket head on wooden composition jointed body, she is strung and jointed at the n...eck, shoulders, elbows, wrists, legs and knees with all fingers intact. Finger nails accented with red for that realistic look. Her legs strung a little "loose", you may wish to tighten up her elastic stringing a bit to your liking. Body shows minor wear, good bisque head with no cracks or hairlines. She has a "sweet" Dolly face with open and close blue glass sleepy eyes that work fine, (eyes need re-set, a little wobbly when her eyes close but together working intact in the head), I will stuff her head with tissue for safety in shipping. She has painted lashes around the eyes, brush stroked eye brows, she has open mouth with upper teeth, there is a dimple in her chin and she has blushed cheeks, a "beautiful" face. Her human hair wig once had a label that said "Made in France", this label is since missing and not on the wig. This wig is lovely with bangs and locks, it slips over a pate on her head. She is wearing a charming antique dress with pink and lace trim, it buttons down the back and is in nice shape with minor wear. She wears antique slip, top, pantaloons, stockings and vintage shoes. There is a vintage pearl necklace around her neck that says Japan. I have taken plenty of photos, please look at my photos they will serve as part of this description.
