Large Scottish Mauchline ware "Shanklin Chine | Isle of Wight" Box
A wonderful large sized Mauchline ware box with transfers relating to The Isle of Wight. The middle of the box has a large transfer of Shanklin. The box is flanked by four other transfers of: Carisbrooke Castle, Old Church Bonchurch, Sandown Bay of Wight, Osborne House. This box is of large size and has no interior. The hinges and catch appear to be original to the box and are in good condition. Th...e top edge of the box (when open) glue or something dripped inside the box. A very scarce size of Mauchline ware.Dimensions: 8"W x 4"T x 5 1/2"D.
