This is an antique c.1911 “J.M.Young 272-285” fixed-back rocking chair from a local estate. It’s large heavy construction, and good quality quarter-sawn fumed White Oak. The thick arms measure 28 3/4” wide, and massive curved back slats are 5” wide (37” tall overall). Old recovered red seat. High quality & comfortable big chair; the closest to pure Stickley style of any maker. Strong A&C design / sits great / displays very nicely. Pickup only S/E Michigan, with easy access ...just of I-75 (too large for us to package & ship). Please ask any questions before bidding.
