They were acquired... in Germany, where it's most likely that they were made.The set was likely originally made for a bathroom, but they would look equally at home in a hallway (especially a narrower hallway), with the shelf being a great spot to toss and scoop out house and car keys without taking up too much valuable space.Condition Report: Generally excellent, with some scratches to be found on the shelf from use.
