This listing is for a beautiful 19th century Islamic Persian hand crafted brass magic/medicine/divination bowl.

Round form with round shallow foot, averted rim and tapering inner central bosse.

All visible surfaces are decorated with engraved / chased calligraphy and script.

Minaret and rounds forms to inner and outer surfaces.

Bowls used to treat many ailments.

Believed water placed in the bowl takes on curative powers having being in contact with ta...lismanic and Koranic symbols.

Superb item in excellent antique condition. No major dents or holes. It does have the expected signs of age and past use etc, please see photos.

Beautiful item.

Weighs 228 grams.

Measures 15cm diameter x 4cm high.
