While we have owned this piece for over 40 years, I do not know the origin. Obviously, stitched on linen..bottom is signed HELEN HANNAH WHEELER . SAMPLER...1830..Measures approx. 17" x 18". Included are the following names:

I an unable to discern the years of birth of the above individuals due to fadin...g, but stitching remains intact throughout. Of interest is the name
"H.H. Wheeler" and "L. C. Wheeler" which are stitched in mirror image in the piece.. Included is larger script and block alphabet in caps, smaller alphabet (both upper and lower case), numbers 1-8 and a handsome geometric design border.
