Attached are photos of an early hand pieced quilt top (70" x 65") with a sampling of early prints. It looks like "a square in a diamond" pattern, but actually it becomes quite complicated upon inspection and becomes an optical illusion. All was nicely executed.
Notice that the back is clean, and all is unused and unwashed. A slight sheen remains on some of the fabrics. All is strong and sturdy. Notice there are a few age stains, and slight browning along the border. The photos are a... good representation.
