The lot for sale is a group of ephemera advertising a medical device printed circa 1889.
The lot includes a 4 page advertising pamphlet (single sheet folded in half), a 4 page testimonial pamphlet, and a single sheet with a list of doctors in Philadelphia who use the device.
The pamphlet is titled : "Drs. W. S. & F. Black's Combined Cupping Apparatus, Breast Pump, Stomach Pump, Aspirator, Atomizer, &c., &c. Price Ten Dollars. W. B.... Stewart, General Agent, Box 646, Trenton, N.J." It measures 8 1/2 X 5 1/2 inches. It is good condition aside from a vertical fold through the center, light age toning, and small stains & marks. The single sheet is titled : "The following Physcians and Surgeons in the City of Philadelphia are among those who are using Drs. W. & S.Cupping Apparatus [etc...]." It is 2 columns of names which fill up the front & back of a single sheet which measures 8 1/2 X 5 1/2 inches. It is good condition aside from a vertical fold through the center, light age toning, and a small stains in the upper right.
The testimonial pamphlet is titled : "Testimonials by Prominent Physicians who have Drs. W. S. & F. Black's Combined Cupping Apparatus, [etc...]." The testimonial letters are dated 1887 - 1889. It measures 8 1/2 X 5 1/2 inches. It is good condition aside from a vertical fold through the center, and light age toning.
