This is what we believe is a friendship quilt. One square is signed and dated 1933 , Ozark MO. in this quilt. . Each square is signed by a different person and often it was the individual that stitched that square.Therefore one will often see different types of stitching . These were often done by church women etc. This particular quilt also has some men's signatures. It does have some damaged areas. &n...bsp;Please look closely at the pic. We purchased this quilt and do not know the history. This quilt has cotton batting and is a light weight. It needs some TLC or could be used as a cutter for crafts etc. It is mainly one fabric pattern that seems to have not held up.This particular fabric was use in several squares. The stitching done on the quilting is of an expert hand. There is a lot of old sack cloth patterns in this quilt. I love what this quilt represents.
