A Arts & Crafts Copper Peacock Tray - Fivemiletown - John Williams
Item History & Price
For sale today we have this Super Arts and Crafts Copper Tray attributed to John Williams (Founding Member of the Guild of Handicrafts) while at the Fivemiletown Class, Co Tyrone, Ireland. Featuring a superbly executed design of two facing Peacocks with a large fruiting tree between them (the branches and fruits come down all around the birds), all set against a textured ground. All wrought by hand and all truly beautiful! The tray measures 16" x 9". Unmarked as are... most Fivemiletown pieces.
Presented to the market in very good condition with strong definition to the design. There are minor flaws to the outer edge as shown. A fine example of 110 year old copper work. A chance to purchase an impressive piece from one of the most sought after and collectible names from the Arts and Crafts era.
For sale at £295 or best offer.
