Great old DaZey No. 40 Butter Churn in GREAT condition. Nice clean, clear glass, no nicks, chips or cracks. Patented Feb 14, 1922 as stated on the embossed glass. Also embossed on the glass is Made in U.S.A. St. Louis, Missouri.
It cranks easily, and has the all important DAISY flower logo on BOTH SIDES of the iron churning mechanism. If it's not on BOTH sides, it's a reproduction. I think it used to have a little screen on top. This is an honest, authentic piece pulled from an... old kitchen cabinet stored in one of our barns.
The top has the expected wear. This is an older model with an iron cranking mechanism, and tin NOT aluminum top. It too has the expected wear. Clean to the patina you desire.
Selling this and other primitives, collectibles and country items from our farm so we may continue renovating the original 1742 house and buildings. I've attached a few pictures of the work we've done so far. We're still a working farm and dairy for over 240 years now.
