RARE VINTAGE BLACK NUBIAN SAROTTI MOOR HAND PAINTED CAST METAL CALLING CARD BOY –CIRCA 1930 Measures approximately 7 ¼” high by 2 3/8” wide by 3” deep.Sarotti is a German chocolate manufacturer founded in 1868. The Sarotti-Moor (Mohr) was created in 1918 for the 50 year anniversary of the company. In an attempt to stave off accusations of racism, the tray-carrying moor had been changed into a "mage" of golden skin color in 2004.Excellent original condition wi...th the exception of some minorpaint loss.These antique and vintage blackamoor items are getting more and more difficult to find.
