E.M. Weeks original facsimile of The Declaration of Independence dated 1939. This is the 31" x 26" size! This work by E.M. Weeks is considered by an article written by Harvard to be the closes to the original Declaration - "If you are looking for a truly exact facsimile of the engrossed and signed parchment this 4th of July, your best bet is a 1936 engraving by E.M. Weeks. On the order of the Bureau of Engraving and Printing, Weeks created a steel plate engraving based on t...he 1903 Handy photograph of the original parchment. He apparently spent over 1300 hours working on his facsimile, and his dedication is apparent: the Weeks engraving matches the original parchment" written May 27, 2016.
This document has been stored away for decades; I am selling items for a retired lawyer. As you can see from the pictures; it is in amazing condition. NO rips or tears; it has the original blue protective paper which has kept it pristine white except along the edges where there is some slight tanning. It will be shipped still folded as seen in the last two pictures. The back as you can see from the last pictures has a few spots of white paint. If you have questions please send me a message.
