Jack Ruby was a Dallas nightclub owner who shot and killed Lee Harvey Oswald following Oswald's assassination of President John F. Kennedy on November 22nd, 1963.
These notes - 53 in total - were penned by Jack Ruby in his jail cell during his trial. Written in pencil on small sheets of unlined gray-white paper, the notes relate his actions at the time of Kennedy's assassination and also specific incidents from Ruby's ti...me as the proprietor of the Silver Spur, Vegas, and Carousel clubs.
Some of the notes are dated and some numbered or lettered as if once part of a sequence.
Also includes one section of original manila folder that held the notes with "autopsy" written in a pencil on the verso of the tab. "Jack's Notes" are written in blue ballpoint pen on the front tab in Earl Ruby's hand. Also small sheet of white paper cut from Juvenile Court form with "This is Jack Ruby's hand writing. Signed by Earl Ruby, Jack's brother and executor of Jack's will" in blue ballpoint in Earl Ruby's hand.
Good condition.
The notes measure approximately 4 inches by 6 inches apart from one larger note.
Also included a notarized letter from Earl Ruby authenticating the above.
A rare and interesting piece of political history.
