WWII M40 German Combat Helmet US Fighting 1st Infantry Div Souvenir Winter Camo

WWII M40 Combat Helmet US Army Fighting First Infantry Division War Helmet Winter Camouflage Souvenir 1.  This M40 White Winter Camouflage Souvenir Helmet was brought home by First Army Infantry Division veteran Mr. Thomas Williams who originally resided in Rochester, New York.  It has nice art work, but unfortunately there is a large water spot with rust damage on the left side.  The rust on this portion of the helmet does not go through the steel shell. The l...iner is sweat-stained. The drawstring and chin strap are intact.  Handwritten letters "EM" are on the liner. The leather liner also has the size "56" stamped on one of the leather fingers.   The following flaws and more are present: scratches, nicks, discoloration, water damage, sweat stains, rust, corrosion, and layers of paint.  There is a serial number stamped into the steel which reads either "1151" or "11514."
