I recently purchased the contents of an old hay barn in New Hampshire. That is where I acquired these beautiful antique latches. They had been in the barn for quite some time, and I am unsure where they originally were produced. This listing is for FIVE (5) latches with the matching catches (PICTURED). Absolutely beautiful detail in the ornate design! Great hardware for a restored piece of antique furniture or cabinetry! The latches have been... wire-wheel cleaned and buffed. They are made out of cast-iron-steel and a beautiful brass combination. The latches function properly without issue. The longer latch with the beautiful brass knob is not a spring loaded latch. It appears that this latch/lock was a dead bolt type mechanism for a door or window; Beautiful eastlake detail! The single (curved handled) latch has a locking mechanism on it that still functions properly. The circular knob-latch has beautiful detail in the turning knob, and the knob turns clock and counter-clock-wise. The two (2) matching T-handle latches have a beautiful brass handles, and are embossed on the underneath ( PAT D FEB 7 1871 ); These two (2) handles also turn clock and counter-clock-wise. All springs in the latches function properly. Beautiful hard to find antique hardware! See pictures and zoom feature for further on appearance/finish. Measurements: Deadbolt latch: 3" x 1-11/16" ( latch-base with the deadbolt in ) Curved-handled latch: 2-3/16" x 1-7/8" ( latch-base ) Circular-knob-latch: 2-1/8" x 1-9/16" ( latch-base ) (2) T-handle-latches: 2-3/16" x 1-9/16" ( latch-base ) At Harwood's Barn we strive for excellent customer satisfaction.
