Vintage 51mm Gold Filled 16S Open Face 17J Elgin 386 Pocket Watch ca. 1921. This gold filled, open face, unadjusted, Grade 386, Model 6, Class 109 Elgin pocket watch has a case measuring just under 51mm. The aged metallic dial has large black numerals, blue spade hands, a sunk seconds register at three o'clock and is marked "Elgin". The dial has age spots and what appear to be scuffs, but I acn not be 100% sure as I am unable to remove the front cover. The cryst...al is in good condition. The case back has a guilloche design with a scroll boarder plaque that has a monogram "P". As pictured, the case has a lot of wear and aging. The inside case is stamped "Providence W.C.Co. - Warranted 20 Years - 2300712". The 3/4 plate nickle movement is stamped "Elgin Nat'l Watch Co. - U.S.A. - 23448314 - 17 Jewels". This watch has both ruby and sapphire jewels. The movement is in good condition. Stem wind and set. This watch is running approximately 2 minutes fast. No guarantee of future performance. This watch is in overall good condition, with the exception of the aged case.
