This receiver is in pretty good cosmetic condition. Everything is solid with no dings, dents, or deep scratches. The main issue is that the receiver has been painted. The faceplate has some sort of green/yellow tint to it, which I can 100% guarantee you is not nicotine residue. Inside, the receiver looks good. We've powered it up, and the meter lamps illuminate, as do the tube filaments. The clock also runs.
This equipment is part of a very large silent-ley estate we recently a...cquired, all of which has been in a storage unit for approximately 15 years. We have not done any testing beyond what is specifically mentioned above. There are a few reasons for this, but it essentially comes down to the fact that they almost always need some level of service and it's simply not cost effective to pay our technician to spend time going through them. It may or may not need components replaced (caps, resistors, tubes, etc), controls cleaned/lubricated, alignment, and so on. Again, this unit is being sold 100% as-is. Unless you are qualified and capable of working on this unit yourself, or are willing to pay a qualified individual to do the work for you, we suggest you revisit the idea of whether this is the right equipment for you.
