VINTAGE HAMILTON AUTOMATIC ' K ' WATCH UNIQUE DIAL, SERVICED & HANDMADE STRAP
Item History & Price
I purchased the watch about 2 - 3 years ago and the acrylic crystal was brand new at the time. Several months later, I had a service performed on it to get everything running consistent and smoothly. The watchmaker that I use for service and inspection is Sunset Watch Repair on Su...nset Blvd, Los Angeles, CA. They have over 35 years of experience. I then purchased the strap that is a handmade, black leather strap with yellow stitching, from Jack Foster Leather. They specialize in Horween leather straps that they custom make in South Carolina. The strap width is 18mm.
The watch has a very nice patina on the dial and the hands. The case appears to be very close to the original finish. I'm not a fan of overly polished watches.
To the best of my Hamilton research abilities, the watch appears to be in the automatic K-series from the 50's / 60's. There were many many case, lug and dial variations during those times. The watch is now kept on an interval set electronic winder to keep the movement running smoothly. It's currently keeping good time and hasn't stopped.
I really love this watch and would wear it often. I'm simply moving on with other watch projects and simplifying the collection. Please reach out with any questions, thanks for looking!
As with any vintage watch, I cannot make absolute guarantees on this watch. All information is listed to the best of my knowledge / research, and it is subject to change. This watch is sold as-is, thank you.
