A sterling silver ring by noted Scandinavian studio artist Anna Greta Eker. The ring has a bold modernist style, with a series of raised bars making a ridged, geometric design. Each 'bar' is oxidised on its sides, throwing the top part of the design into stark contrast. A great example of Scandinavian modernist jewellery, this piece dates to about 1960 and is fully hallmarked.
A.G. Eker was originally born in Finland in 1928 but moved to Norway while in her twenties, where she... created stunning pieces of modernist jewellery during the 60s and 70s. Her work is now highly sought-after and collectable.
The ring is currently a size L (US 6), but the band is slightly adjustable and could go up or down a size. There is some minor surface wear on the band (see photos), though nothing noticeable when worn -- this piece is in great vintage condition and ready to wear. An eye-catching ring, straight from the 1960s and still feeling fresh and contemporary today.
