Vintage preserved dry taxidermy red-bellied piranha fish. Harvested from the Amazon River by the local people and sold as souvenirs to the tourist trade. My grandfather was one of those tourists in the early 70's and brought this back. It was originally glued to a piece of wood and could easily be again. As is, he doesn't stand up on his own unless leaned against something. The fish measures 8" from his under bite to the tip of his tail. His body is 3 3/4" at its widest. He is missing ...a few of his lower teeth, which of course happens in nature too.
