A very special 130 x 83 cm example in stunning condition----these are unbelievably rare. Especially the larger ones. Out of 100 Asahi flags, I'll see maybe 60 cotton, 38 silk and 2 sewn cotton. Of those two, 98 percent of THOSE will smaller than this flag. So this is an extremely rare piece in absolutely incredibly condition. Navy insignia signed on corner. Strands WITH HOOKS (this is another very rare part of this flag)....Top right two sections sewn pocket squares. See pics f...or more details. This is a "once and its gone" opportunity to acquire the finest Japanese navy flag that will ever come up on eBay. A similar one sold for 300, 000 yen here in Japan earlier this fall.
Super fine, unbelievable high quality and texture. Thick fabric. Naturally this is an antique item, but they really literally do not even make such high quality flags anymore.
