Up for auction is a FINE CHINESE EXPORT STERLING SILVER 3 PIECE TEASET TEAPOT CREAM JUG SUGAR BOWL. The set is finely made with a nice floral repousse banded design. The creamer and sugar bowl are finely gold gilt to the interior. The set is in very fine condition and appears to have seen very little use. All three pieces are hallmarked, along with makers mark TS for Tien Shing, noted as making silver examples during the later part of the 19th century.
Condition: Very fine condition with no damage as seen. Handle is perfectly tight with no movement. All three pieces have never been monogrammed or personalized.
Size/Weight: The teapot measures 9 3/4 inches long by 5 1/2 inches wide and 5 1/2 inches tall. The sugar bowl measures 6 3/4 inches long by 4 1/2 inches wide and 3 1/4 inches tall. The cream jug measures 6 inches long, by 4 inches wide and 3 1/4 inches tall. The three pieces test sterling silver and weight 738 grams, we are sure worth a good amount just in silver melt value alone. Although we are hoping this great tea set is saved from the melting pots!
