Joanies is very excited to present a great Three Session No Reserve Estate Auction! This sale includes a wide variety of fine antique and collectables spanning over several different categories. Day one of this estate auction also includes an important collection of Ming and Song ceramics from the pr...ofessor Peter Greiner collection, and also from the scholarly collection of the late Mr. Pao of Toronto. We have offered items from the Pao collection before that brought some great interest. Mr. Pao was well respected as a very knowledgeable scholarly collector. Mr. Pao also headed a high end Asian arts gallery within the Four Seasons hotel in Toronto for many years that closed down around 20 years ago now. A great opportunity to acquire several rarely found and unique examples.

Up for auction is a ANTIQUE CHINESE TIBETAN BRONZE VASUDHARA BUDDHA FIGURE MING QING DYNASTY. An interesting antique bronze Buddha figure. The family brought this figure out of China during the earlier 1960s and said it was with the family far before this time. We are told likely China or Tibetan in origin, there is surely other possibilities. The figure has a rich old patina and particular fine details to the face and hair.
Condition: Estate-fresh with wear and minor imperfections consistent with legitimate early age. Overall substantially good as seen with no repairs. UV light reveals no hidden damage.
Size: Measuring 10 inches tall by 9 inches wide and 5 inches deep. The figure weighs 3446 grams, of just over 7.5 pounds.
