Joanies is very excited to present a great Three Session No Reserve Estate Auction! This sale includes a wide variety of fine antique and collectables spanning over several different categories. Day one of this estate auction also includes an important collection of Ming and Song ceramics from... the professor Peter Greiner collection, and also from the scholarly collection of the late Mr. Pao of Toronto. We have offered items from the Pao collection before that brought some great interest. Mr. Pao was well respected as a very knowledgeable scholarly collector. Mr. Pao also headed a high end Asian arts gallery within the Four Seasons hotel in Toronto for many years that closed down around 20 years ago now. A great opportunity to acquire several rarely found and unique examples.

Up for auction is a SUPERB LARGE PAIR 19THC CHINESE BLUE ENAMEL INCISED 8 IMMORTALS VASES SEAL MARK. An impressive pair of vases intricately incised decorated with eight Immortals figural landscape decor. The vases have a nice variety of enamel colors including vibrant yellow and blue. We believe the vases would date to around the mid to later 19th century. The vases came from estate with fine quality hardwood display stands that are included. The vases have seal marks to the bases we do not recognize that are well worth looking into. One of the finer quality and larger size pairs like this we have seen.
Condition: Estate-fresh could use a minor cleaning the vases are otherwise in very fine condition with no chips cracks or repairs. UV light reveals no hidden damage. The vases both sit nice and straight.
