Original Description:
Two China Trade gouache on pith paper paintings, each featuring a lady with tiny lotus feet playing a musical instrument in a domestic setting.  19th century.  Each measures 11 1/4" x 7 1/2."  Good overall condition with typical paper losses at the edges.  There is a small old repair to a tiny hole in the background above the head of one.  The same image has a short tear at the bottom.  There are two smaller tears in the sides of the second.  There is... some discoloration around the edges of both.  The paper is very fragile.  From a Tucson, Arizona estate.
