I have been collecting vintage watch for close to 30 years and this is the first doctor's dial pocket watch I have owned. This is a SOLID 18k Gold Longines pocket watch chronograph watch which I believe dates back to the 1922 period. The SIGNED case measures 54.0 mm wide and is very nice. This is a one button chronograp...h watch that is pin set. Has a beautiful complex SIGNED dial with 2 sunken registers. The bottom register is the normal seconds. The top register is for the minutes accumulator. There is a blued center sweep second hand which is the chronograph timer hand. It will sometimes move and is trying to re-set but will not function most of the time. The hour and minute hands are gold. Has black Arabic hour markers and a red Pulseations outer doctor's chapter ring. Very clean dial. Marked "Gradue Pour 30 Pulsations". The crystal is clean. The back cover and dust cover hinges are good and tight. The outer side of the dust cover is marked "Longines 7 Grands Prix Cronografo-Contador". This watch does somewhat run in the time only mode but I believe the watch has a mainspring issue. I do not feel any additive tension as you wind the watch. The Swiss made pin set movement is very complex and has a column wheel chronograph movement. I am sure this was one of Longines nicest movements. While this nearly 100 year Longines Doctor's pocket watch partially runs it will need to be serviced. I am selling it as such.
