This porcelain tea/coffee cup was imported from Japan by the F.S. Louie Berkeley company in the 1950s. The Louie Berkeley company pretty much imported the gold standard of Chinese restaurant ware. This is an unusual shape and size compared to the standard tea cup.
I wasn't able to capture in the photos but this cup flares out toward the bottom. The width at the ...top rim is 3 1/8" and 3 1/2" at its widest point, not including the handle, the width of the cup wall is 3/4". This cup has a nice weight, no chips or cracks and minimal wear on the bottom rim. Very nice.
