Offered in this sale is an antique, whimsical, three dimensional Japanese porcelain SUMIDA GAWA that I believe dates to the Meiji period. It measures roughly 6 1/2" x 4 1/4". The rattan handle appears to be original. The decoration on either sid...e is different and depicts young boys playing. The condition is excellent. There are no chips, cracks, flakes, hairlines or restoration. I really wonderful early teapot which is in great condition.
