Without this stupid factory defect, this would be a NM copy. You could easily miss this if I weren't honestly reporting it here. Check our feedback. We sell these often.
What is this smudge? When the comics sit in a case and get moved around, the ink on the back cover of one can rub off on the front cover of the next one, because of the extra thickness of the staple. The top staple has dark ink, so if it's there, it doesn't show. I took the worst of them and put them in the store at cover price, but this condition is JUST a little this side of the VF-NM pile, which is just this side of the even smaller NM pile (which are also listed here on eBay!)
This has NOT been read, and has been stored smoke- and LIGHT-free for 20+ years! And because there are literally dozens of these and they are priced WAY below what others are asking, I will not be taking individual photos of each one. The second picture shows an average example of the lower staple area. I am confident you will like it, so I'm gambling you won't want to send it back for a refund, or ask for a replacement.
