The set belonged to a doll collector and had been displayed in a glass case for years and then stored. All dolls have been exposed to normal house hold dust. There are no foul odors. As I describe the set I will attempt to point out the flaws. Considering that this set my be 70 years old it is a very nice used condition. The pictures were taken in natural light and are a very important part of the description, please look at them closely. Insurance will be added to the shipping cost fo...r the full value of the winning bid.Snow White: Approximately 16” tall, the face and hands are felt, the face is felt over a mold, its hand painted, the head tilts downward. The hair is thick coarse like horse hair, it is glued to the head with a braided band around her head. The dress is a bone ivory, the sleeves are puffed and gathered at the upped arm and gathered at the wrist. The dress is sewn in place, there are yellow spots on the on the skirt of the dress, the undergarments are sewn on and are made of a thick muslin material, the panties and slip are trimmed in lace and are matching. The legs are a knit material, The doll is posable material over wire. Bashful: 8” tall, Face is felt over a mold, painted left sided glancing expression. Gray cotton beard, His head feels loose; however it appears that it is to tilt the head to the right. The clothing is felt and cotton over padded wire. The sleeves of the shirt have discolored , there is a dark stain on the right hand. the doll is posable and can stand. Doc: 8” face is hand painted and there is a elderly looking face that appears wise with the wire glasses. There is a green sash the bears the name Doc, the clothing is felt and cotton, the shirt sleeves are discoloration and there are a few slight spots. 8 1/4” tall posable and can stand.Sneezy: 8” Very nice condition, adorable painted expressive face, huge nose. Hold a large gingham kerchief in the left hand. Same materials, posable stands. Sleepy: 8” Very expressive painted face, eyes look half open, gray cotton beard, small spots here and there on the clothing. Grumpy: 8” the dolls materials are the same as the rest of the set, same condition as the other dolls except for the right hand it has broke away from the wire for and is attached however no longer posable. I am unsure if this could be repaired. The name Grumpy has worn off the front of the sash at the waist.Happy: 8” in the same condition as the dolls mentioned above, the doll has a joyful grin on his face. Materials in the doll are matching to the rest of the set.Dopey: 8” Adorable goofy expression with huge ears poking out of his hat. His name is across the sash on the waist and the doll is in very nice condition. Same materials as the other dolls, posable. No gray beard, the doll has a tuft of light brown coarse hair sticking out from the front of the hat. Feel free to ask any questions.
