This listing if for an18 size 21 jewel HAMILTON Grade 940 railroad approved watch. I don’t know when it was last serviced, but I have just installed a new mainspring and it is running great and keepingtime. It is a pendent wind and lever-set, so it would be a GREAT watch tocarry for work, or play, or to just display. The serial# 572, 900 tells us it is the 2nd Model 940 (having the double roller andadjusted to 5 positions), and wasmade in 1907. There are... severalhairlines in the dial, one across between the 7 and 8 hour markers, and oneeach at the 29 and 30 minute markers below the dial. I don’t know if these will show in the pictures as they arerather faint. The movement is in ascrew back and bezel silveroid display case, and it has new glasscrystals. Hang this in a displaydome on your coffee table and it would make quite the conversation piece, as well asan accurate timepiece.
