A real Kiwi is about the size of a chicken. Here are some interesting things about the Kiwi:
It has tiny wings, but cannot fly.
It has thin, hair-like feathers that are more like fur.
It has no tail feathers, but has whiskers like a cat.
It is the only bird in the world with nostrils at the ...tip of its beak.
Kiwis mate for life unless the female finds a male that she likes better. Then she'll leave her current spouse.
Kiwis live a long time-- between 25 and 50 years.
They got their name from the sound of their "kee-wee, kee-wee" call.
This miniature is in excellent condition. It's made of fur (or kiwi feathers?) and the beak and feet appear to be papier-mâché.
