Fierce vintage Chinese foo dog guardian lion with hand carved rattle puzzle ball which can never be removed!
Very striking and imposing carved foo dog, perfect for terrific feng shui protection at an entrance! The carved head and face are dramatic, it’s showing it’s teeth, wing-like ears, and black eyes. A round wood ball has been painstakingly carved inside the rattle which can never be re...moved. The ball rolls back and forth when the foo is moved. A stylized flowing mane cascades around the neck and shoulders. Large paws embrace the reticulated rattle ball sphere, the xiu qiu, which represents the world.
This vintage Chinese hand carved wood foo dog guardian lion is in good vintage condition. A few small cracks, please see the pictures before bidding.
