The 26 episode series wascreated by the anime studio Gainax and was both directed and written by HideakiAnno. The original Japanese cast of the show includes the voice actors andsingers Megumi Ogata as Shinji Ikari, Megumi Hayashibara as Rei Ayanami, andYūko Miyamura as Asuka Soryu. The music was composed by Shirō Sagisu and wouldtop the Oricon charts upon release; the theme song continues to receiverecognition for its lasting impact in the decades after its release. TheEvangelion franchise also includes a movie tetralogy called Rebuild ofEvangelion, as well as several other spin-off anime, manga and video gameseries.Evangelion is an apocalyptic anime in the mecha genre. The series is setin a futuristic Tokyo, fifteen years after a worldwide cataclysm. The mainstory centers around Shinji, a teenage boy who is recruited by the shadowyorganization NERV to pilot a giant bio-machine called an Evangelion in combatagainst monstrous beings known as Angels. The series explores the experiencesand emotions of other Evangelion pilots and members of NERV as they attempt toprevent another catastrophe. Evangelion prominently features religioussymbolism and themes throughout the series, including Kabbalah, Christianity, Judaism, and Shinto imagery.Evangelion is one of the most successful and critically acclaimed animetelevision series of the 1990s. Considered both a critique and deconstructionof the mecha genre, the series has become a cultural icon and has resulted inthe artistic and technical revival of the anime industry. The show'scharacters, music and individual scenes have been recognized by the Japanesepublic, and homage to its controversial ending resulted in the creation of twomovies; each provided an alternate ending for the abstract and psychologicalanalysis of the characters for episodes 25 and 26. The subsequent film, manga, home video and other products in its franchise have achieved record sales inJapan and strong sales in overseas markets, with revenues grossing over 150billion yen by 2013.Plot:At the age of 14 Shinji Ikari is summoned by his father tothe city of Neo Tokyo-3 after several years of separation. There he unwillinglyaccepts the task of becoming the pilot of a giant biological humanoid by thename EVA01 and protect the world from the enigmatic invaders known as angels.Even though he repeatedly questions why he has accepted this mission from hisestranged and cold father, his doing so helps him to gradually accept himself. But why exactly are the angels attacking and what are his father's trueintentions.Eposide List01    "Angel Attack"

Movie # 1: Neon Genesis Evangelion: Death & RebirthIt is the first film in the Neon Genesis Evangelionfranchise and it consists of two parts, Death and Rebirth. It wasreleased, along with the follow-up, The End of Evangelion, in responseto the success of the TV series and a strong demand by fans for another ending. It has since been re-edited and re-released several times.Plot:DeathThe firstpart, Death, is a 70-minute long edit of the first 24 episodes of NeonGenesis Evangelion, with additional footage not seen in the originalbroadcast (the footage would later be integrated into the Japanese Laserdiscand the American and European Platinum Collection releases of theseries, as "Director's Cut" versions of episodes 21-24).RebirthThe second part, Rebirth, consists of27 minutes of entirely new animation that would eventually form the first thirdof the film The End of Evangelion released four months later. Because oftime constraints, Rebirth only covers the initial preparations of theHuman Instrumentality Project and the invasion of the Geofront by SEELE, endingwith the arrival of the Mass Production Evas (in The End of Evangelion, the final version of episode 25' concludes with the end of Asuka's fight withthe Mass Production Evas). Movie # 2: The Endof EvangelionThe film is divided into two episodes, eachwith a separate Japanese and English title: Episode 25': "Air" (エア Ea) / "Love is Destructive"and Episode 26': "Yours Sincerely" (まごころを、君に Magokoro o, Kimi ni) / "ONE MORE FINAL: I need you".They effectively replace the series' controversial final two episodes with amore "real world" account of the story's apocalyptic climax. Gainaxoriginally proposed titling the film Evangelion: Rebirth 2.     Items will beshipped from California USA. Please feel freeto ask any and all questions!
