Antique Shiwan Mudman 4" Pre 1919 Lifelike Face Hand Painted Unique Symbolism. Very nicely detailed. Glaze is high gloss not matte. China stamped on bottom with some penciled writing I can't quite make out. Probably from when my grandmother purchased it several decades ago.Symbolism on the stone he carries made me curious. I am not sure, but beginning bottom left and moving clockwise, might be wealth, happiness, serenity, and long life (shou). But, I could be mistaken. This little mudm...an makes me think that he is on a journey through life.
