It connects a CGA PC to the 34 pin "Multi" input on some old Sony monitors such as the KX20PS1, KX27PS1, and others as well. The part that connects to the computer is a DE9 male, though it connects to the PC-701 via a Din8 male.The cord labled "monitor" is permantly connected to the PC-701 and it's other end is a female 2 rows by 17 "holes", very much like an IDE or floppy drive remale plug.
