Jewell Electrical Instrument Company - (1899 - 1931)
Thiscompany was founded in Chicago in 1899 and produced many panel andportable meters and later tube testing equipment. In 1931, the firm wasbought by Weston Electrical Instrument Corporation of Newark, NewJersey, and the manufacturing was transferred to Newark in 1932. Westonused the Jewell brand name briefly for about a year.
