SABENA Belgian... World Airways
00-SAB Helicopter
made by Arnold Spielwaren of West Germany. This is a high quality tin flying model toy helicopter from the late 1950's. The flying function Excellent working condition
you can rotate the handle fast, and the helicopter will lift off and fly at the end of it's 3 foot cable tether. In excellent working condition the cable is straight no kinks
The helicopter is in very good condition, looks very lightly used. There are some scratches on the bottom part of the cockpit. The tail has some slight wrinkles in the metal, but I think this was from the manufacturing process rather than a crash. This represents an interesting piece of airline history when helicopters were used to fly from Brussels, Belgium to the nearby cities in Europe. SABENA began operating the S-58 in 1956. SABENA ceased operating in 2001.
