This is a wonderful Large Old Woven Conus Shell Fiber Armband from the Lumi Tribe of the Torricelli Mountains, Angugunak area, West Sepik, Papua New Guinea. Conus shells are worn to display ones wealth, rank and power and were considered prized possessions.
