Original Description:
The item for sale is a vintage wood African Marka Mask from northwest Mali.
The the chin & 'jaw' area of the mask have been stained black by the maker. 
The mask measures 13 inches long X 6 1/2 inches wide X 6 inches deep.
It is in good /fair condition due to a 1 1/2" crack on the top edge of the back side, small nicks & losses along the underside of the right ear & back edges, and wear to the extremities.
The Marka (also Marka Dafing, Meka, or Maraka)... people are a Mande people of northwest Mali.  [From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia.]
