V FINE ANTIQUE NATIVE AMERICAN INDIAN OJIBWE PLAINS BEADWORK BEADED PIPE BAG
I will be selling a good number of interesting antiques including Tribal art, Chinese and European antiques. PLEASE NOTE: This auction is in GB Pounds Sterling.This is a very fine antique 19th Century Ojibwe beaded hide pipe bag. It is beaded to each side with a different and elaborate floral pa...ttern in very tight work using at least 13 different colours of beads of a nice small size. The edge of the bag is also nicely finished with a green bead trim. The bag came with a card from the Native Canadian Centre of Toronto (which I will photograph and add) marked "R.Green Collection" and giving information about the bag. The last provenance for the bag was that it came from the Dr. Alan Black collection and the last photo of the group shows it with other fine beadwork pieces from the same collection which I will be selling separately.***I usually ship from the UK but am posting from Belgium this time and so it may be possible for me to find more reasonable shipping options (using DPD or similar) depending on your location so please don't hesitate to get in touch for a quote and I will do what I can.***It is my policy not to end standard auctions early with a 'buy it now' and at the end of an auction I will not make second chance offers. Very good overall condition. A few beads missing (particularly to a small area on the left hand side of the beadwork panel with the darker background) but nothing too serious.It is about 52cms long and about 15cms wide (including the fringe). The beadwork panel alone measures about 13cms by 15cms. The last photo of the group shows it with others I will be selling separately.
Postage & Packing
I will be posting from Belgium from TUESDAY 7th JULY so please make payment as early as possible, ideally within 3 working days. PLEASE be a little patient with the post - I will get them posted asap but I work on my own, have a large amount to post and I do pack carefully. I also post in the order that things are paid for.Any delays by the postal services either at my end or abroad are rarely my fault. I always post out at the latest 3 working days after receiving cleared payment but sometimes an item is slowed up by a backlog of post or delayed whilst being processed through customs. To give you an idea it generally takes about 3-7 working days within Europe and 7 - 14 working days to the U.S. / rest of the world. If speed is of the essence then I can use a courier but prices for couriers start at around £30 / £40GBP for the very smallest object and VERY quickly escalate depending on size, weight and destination. I add on very little, often not enough to cover the packaging materials, so the price I quote really is as fair as possible.
