ANTIQUE BELGIAN HANDMADE LACE SCARF WITH NETTING
Item History & Price
Reference Number: Avaluer:243274 |
The scarf measures a generous 72" (6 feet) long; ...6" Wide; with 45" panels of lace on each edge of the scarf. The netting has polka dots with lightly edged trim.
The scarf is in very good to excellent condition with only, I believe, a minor flaw in the netting that is not obvious to the naked eye. I photographed the flaw with 3x magnification (please see the photo).
This piece is a museum de-accession and had been on exhibit as a lovely and rare exhibit of Victorian Era Fashion History. The Museum pays for shipping. Please email with any concerns, as we want the new owner of this piece to be happy with their purchase.
PLEASE NOTE: It may be difficult to see, however in two of the photos the ends of the lace were taken to show both the front side of the lace and the back side of the lace, so as to inform the buyer of the fine detail of the underside of the lace as well as the front side of the lace. There is a raised relief to the front side of the lace.
